Volunteers Make a Difference

Volunteers play an important role in creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for our students. As we begin the 2025–26 school year, we invite parents, guardians, and community members to join us as school volunteers.

To protect the safety of all students and staff, all volunteers must complete a clearance process before serving on campus. Please note there have been updates to the volunteer requirements this year, and the process may vary depending on the type of volunteer role (classroom support, field trips, events, etc.).
  • New Volunteers: Please review the updated requirements and complete the clearance process before your first day on campus.
  • Returning Volunteers: Thank you for your continued support! Even if you’ve volunteered with us in the past, please take a moment to review this year’s updated requirements to ensure your clearance is current.
For details and to begin the process, visit our website for details.

We are grateful for your time, energy, and commitment—your involvement makes a difference in the lives of our students every day!

Plan Ahead: SMUSD School Calendars

We are excited to share the official SMUSD school calendars with our families. Each calendar link below includes important dates such as the first and last days of school, holidays, breaks, and minimum days.

Planning ahead helps set students up for success, and we encourage families to review the calendar early and mark key dates.

Thank you for staying connected—we look forward to another wonderful year of learning and growth together!
